Alison Doody

Alison Doody was born in Dublin in the Republic of Ireland, on the 11th of November in 1966. She is a model and an Irish actor. She made her feature film debut as a Bond model with the film A View to a Kill, (1985). Then she appeared as a character in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989. Doody played Nazi sympathizing archaeologist Elsa Schneider. Siobhan Donavan played the role featured in A Prayer for the Dying in 1987. Charlotte played Taffin (in the year 1988) and Rebecca Flannery played Major League II. Doody began her modeling career after the opportunity was offered by a hopeful photographer. The career she pursued has evolved into commercial modelling. Doody was adamantly against fashion, thongs and glamour during her modeling career. She accepted a small part as Jenny Flex for 1985's A View to a Kill when she was noticed by the director who cast her. Doody appeared in John Willis Screen World Volume 2. She was one of twelve promising actors to be cast in 1986. 38. Doody had just turned age 18 when she took on the character of Bond girl. Doody is the youngest Bondgirl to date. A Prayer for the Dying featuring Mickey Rourke in 1987, was a film from the beginning where Doody played IRA Siobhan. Doody played Archibald Craven in his dreams in the 1987 adaptation of The Secret Garden. She also played Lilias. She performed the role of Sapsorrow in an episode of Jim Henson's fable show The Storyteller, opposite John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. The actress played Pierce Brosnan, in the 1988 film Taffin. In the following film, she played her most memorable role to date as Austrian Nazisympathiser and Archaeologist The doctor. Elsa Schneider playing alongside Harrison Ford. In the film, she also appeared alongside Sean Connery as Indy's father Doody is a co-star with three actors who have portrayed James Bond. Doody played co-starring in 1991 with Jonathan Pryce opposite the British miniseries Selling Hitler, which was inspired by the publication fraud named The Hitler Diaries. After moving to Hollywood Doody made her a star. She was chosen to replace Cybill Shepard as L'Oreal spokeswoman and was later cast alongside Charlie Sheen as Flannery, his girlfriend and agent in Major League II. Doody's first appearance on the big screen came in 2003. Michael Caine played Doody in the role of a brief. The year 2004, she starred with Patrick Swayze alongside a TV version of King Solomon's Mines. Also Doody appeared as a character in Benjamin's Struggle (2005), which was a pamphlet that described the Holocaust. In 2010, Doody played a role in Danny Dyer's film The Rapture (2010). Later, she guest-starred in RTE's medical thriller The Clinic. She was scheduled to also appear in an adaptation in 2011 of the horror movie The Asphyx. However, the project was ultimately canceled. In 2011, she started the second season in the E4 comedy drama Beaver Falls playing Pam Jefferson. She also appeared on the show in 2014 as We Still Kill the Old Way. She was given the Almeria film award on the 21st of November, 2018.
